Andy Capener

J. Andrew (Andy) Capener is director of service provider marketing for mobility at Cisco, joining from the Starent Networks acquisition in December 2009. At Starent, Andy served as a vice president in marketing and was responsible for the go-to-market positioning and communications of Starent Networks and its solutions.
In his past leadership roles, Andy oversaw the solutions marketing team for 3Com Corporation’s Carrier Systems Group. In addition to team management, he drove communications activities surrounding the wireless data solutions. During this time, the 3Com wireless product became the leading data solution in the CDMA wireless market.
Prior to 3Com, Andy was responsible for Asia Pacific marketing at U. S. Robotics and helped to extend its reach into international markets. He also held senior marketing positions with Megahertz Corporation, the market leader in PC Card modem technology.

Clay Owen is director of communications for AT&T. He has more than a decade of experience in the wireless industry, handling all aspects of public relations including media relations, product launches, sports marketing, issues management, speech writing, internal communications and social media.

Ron Resnick
President and Chairman, WiMAX Forum
Ron Resnick is president and chairman of the WiMAX Forum, a position he has held since 2004. He is employed by Intel as an executive member of the Mobile Wireless Group. In June 2002, Resnick launched and became general manager of Intel’s Broadband Wireless Access business startup focused on developing a baseband modem for last mile broadband access based upon WiMAX technology. In April 2000 he joined Intel, where, as director of new business development for Intel’s Corporate Technology Group, he managed technology commercialization efforts within Intel’s labs and concurrently served as an investment director within Intel’s New Business Initiatives, an internal venture fund established to launch and incubate new business efforts internal to Intel.
Before joining Intel, Resnick served in executive marketing and business development roles, most recently as vice president of marketing of a computer peripherals company. He is a member of the Association of Corporate Growth. He also served as a pilot in the U.S. Air Force. Resnick earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Rutgers University.
