Yankee Group Announces Call for Papers for 4G World 2010

Four-Day Conference Program Focuses on how 4G Empowers Next-Generation Mobile Networks, Applications and Services

Boston, Mass. – Feb. 9, 2010 – Yankee Group today announced its call for papers for the second annual 4G World 2010 Conference & Expo. The event will be held Oct. 18-21 at McCormick Place in Chicago. The event Web site is www.4GWorld.com.

“We are pleased to announce our call for papers for 4G World 2010,” said Eliot Weinman, president of Yankee Group’s Events Division and conference founder and chair. “In its second year, 4G World continues with the vision of producing the world’s largest forum for buyers and sellers of 4G and mobile Internet business and technology solutions.”

In 2010, 4G World is expanding its program and coverage areas by partnering with key associations, research firms and global media channels. The conference brings together industry, academic and government professionals to a premier four-day, multitrack forum covering the entire 4G and mobile Internet global ecosystem.

“We expect over 175 industry experts to present on topics ranging from operator business models, to infrastructure and network topology, to devices, services and applications,” Weinman said. “4G thought leaders from around the world will convene to share insights and expertise, and facilitate interaction and innovation.”

4G World 2010 seeks papers describing original ideas, groundbreaking results and/or quantified network/system experiences. In particular, we encourage submissions that highlight real-world deployments, new application domains, innovative system and solution designs and new approaches to business models and monetization of networks.

About 4G World

Welcome to the second annual 4G World™, the first and only conference and expo covering the entire ecosystem of next-generation technologies that enable the mobile Internet revolution including mobile network infrastructure, advanced devices, applications and content.

Yankee Group believes that operator strategies for 4G network evolution will not be driven by technology, but by competition and market demand. As the Anywhere Network® takes hold in the mature markets of North America, Europe and Asia, operators are anticipating massive growth in broadband data usage and planning their network migration strategies and business models for monetizing mobile Internet services. 4G World offers them an opportunity to research state-of-the-practice business models and advanced mobile technologies, and learn from other operators about what works—and what doesn’t—as they migrate their networks to 4G.
